Reports have been received that Panamanian flag vessel SE CARDI (23,232gt, built 2019) briefly grounded during unmooring operations at Montevideo, Uruguay on 24 April 2021.
At the time, the vessel was due to sail to Sanshui, China, with a cargo of 36,000 tons of logs.
An underwater inspection of the vessel revealed that the rudder was out of alignment. Repair options are being considered, and also the question of how the cargo is to reach destination.
