Reports have been received that Liberian flag vessel EUROSUN (23,432gt, built 2012) ran aground yesterday off the south east coast of Sri Lanka.
The bulk carrier is reportedly aground on a reef close to the Littles Basses Lighthouse. No injuries or pollution have been reported.
EUROSUN is on a voyage from UAE to Sri Lanka. The vessel sailed from Abu Dhabi on 8th January 2021.
