Reports have been received that Maltese flag vessel AGRARI (58,418gt, built 2009) was damaged by a mine explosion, near the port of Shuqaiq, Saudi Arabia, earlier today
The tanker, which had sailed from Shuqaiq on 22 November, was struck about one metre above the waterline and has sustained a hull breach.
The origin of the attack is not known at this stage. It has been confirmed that there are no injuries amongst the crew.
