Reports have been received that Dutch flag vessel FRANCISCA (4,015gt, built 1997) lost 33 containers overboard in stormy weather in the North Sea on 31 October 2020.
The general cargo vessel is on a voyage from Straumsvik, Iceland to Rotterdam, Netherlands.
The vessel has turned back, passed Pentland Firth and was sailing in the northwest direction, possibly attempting to find shelter from the weather. The UK Coast Guard is providing assistance.
