Reports have been received that Turkish flag vessel HACI DEMSETTINDUNDAR (4919 gt, built 2000), experienced engine failure at Ionian Sea, east Mediterranean, Greece, in position lat 36 36 00.0N, long 018 13 00.0E, on 2nd April.
Tug VB HISPANIA has been contracted to tow the vessel from the incident scene to Tuzla, Turkey. The towing operation commenced on 3rd April.
During the Canakkale Strait passage, the coastal safety tug will provide an escort service. The vessel is expected to arrive in Tuzla on 8th April.
