Reports have been received that Madeiran flag vessel NORTHERN JUPITER (94,407gt built 2010) recently suffered a fire in her main engine.
As a result, the vessel had to be towed to Singapore where she remains at this time.
As a consequence of this incident, the vessel’s owners have declared general average (GA). Average bonds and average guarantees will need to be provided before the cargo can be delivered.
