Reports have been received that Panamanian flag vessel CSE WISDOM EXPRESS (9,193gt built 2015) on a voyage from Kaohsiung, to Funabashi has suffered a rudder equipment failure.
The general cargo vessel lost control and started to drift 40 miles south of Hualien. A tug was sent by the Taiwanese authorities and took the vessel in tow to Taiwan.
It is possible that General Average will be declared as a result of this incident.
