Reports have been received that Panamanian flag vessel SHENG MING (38,403gt built 1995) arrived off Cape Town yesterday with a flooded engine room.
Tug SA AMANDLA is in attendance on request of the South African authorities.
SHENG MING has on board a cargo of iron ore. It Is not clear how this cargo will reach destination.
