Reports have been received that Panamanian flag vessel HARVEST SKY (50,626gt, built 2013) has run aground off Limkou, Taiwan.
The bulk carrier, carrying 60,000mt coal from Gladstone, Australia, had discharged part of her cargo when she left the berth because of heavy weather.
The vessel then reportedly drifted aground after her rudder or propeller had become entangled a fishing net.
We understand that the vessel’s owners have contact Nippon Salvage with a request for assistance. Approximately 19,000mt of cargo remain on board.
