Reports have been received that Hong Kong flag vessel EMERALD STAR (33,205gt, built 2010) sank yesterday in position lat 18 59N, long 124 46E.
Fifteen crew members are reported to have been rescued whilst eleven are still missing. Search and rescues operations are underway.
The cause of the sinking is not known at this time. The bulk carrier was on a voyage from Buli to Lianyungang.
