Reports have been received that Panamanian flag vessel GLOBAL LAGUNA (33,239gt, built 2012) suffered a fire on board today.
The fire started in one of the vessel’s cargo holds whilst she was discharging scrap at Iskenderun. The cargo had been loaded in the Netherlands.
We understand that fire fighting is underway.
