Reports have been received that Belize flag vessel ARISTIMO (26,238gt, built 1997) is aground at San Nicolas Roads, Parana River.
The bulk carrier is reportedly carrying a cargo of soya bean meal destined for Egypt. A Lloyd’s Open Form salvage contract has been signed with professional salvors T&T Salvage.
It is also likely that General Average will be declared. Cargo insurers will we expect be asked to meet Salvage and General Average claims.
