Reports have been received that Panamanian flag vessel NEW KATERINA (85,590gt, built 1997) ran aground in the Suez Canal earlier today.
Reports suggest the bulker has sustained a twelve metre hole in her hull.
The vessel is on a voyage to Qingdao. She sailed from Novorossiysk on 18th February 2016.
