Indonesian flag vessel NUSANTARA AKBAR (4,020gt, built 1983) was reported to be sinking off the port of Dumai yesterday.
One crew member is understood to have died after being trapped in the vessel’s engine room. The remaining crew members were rescued.
NUSANTARA AKBAR is a tanker that trades between ports in Indonesia.
