Reports have been received that Liberian flag vessel BBC OSTFRIESLAND (13,066gt, built 1998) has been towed into Zeebrugge today by tug Multraship 20.
The general cargo vessel experienced steering gear problems in heavy weather and required assistance.
Salvage services were rendered under an LOF contract by Multraship Salvage BV and Smit Belgium.
BBC OSTFRIESLAND had sailed from Castellon on 23 January 2016 destined for Belgium.
