Reports have been received that Panama flag vessel STAR HYPERION (26,449gt, built 1996) ran aground on 11th December 2015 after losing propulsion in the Parana River.
A tug was engaged to assist STAR HYPERION after the vessel lost her starboard anchor during re-floating efforts.
The vessel resumed voyage and is expected to arrive in Mersin, Turkey on 6th January 2016.
The vessel’s owners have declared general average.
