Reports have been received that Cyprus flag vessel AKAKI (45,999gt, built 2013) suffered and explosion on board yesterday whilst an anchorage at the port of Paranagua.
The bulk carrier had loaded a cargo of corn for Kaohsiung. The explosion took place in one of the vessel’s cargo holds.
