Reports have been received that Maltese flag vessel MEHMET BEY (6,055gt, built 2000) has suffered an engine failure in the Aegean Sea.
A tug was sent to assist and towed the vessel from the incident scene to Nemrut Bay. The vessel is on a voyage from Icdas to Ashdod.
Surveys have been carried out on the damage but there have been no details released regarding the repairs so far.
