Reports have been received that Indian flag vessel JINDAL KAMAKSHI (7,460gt, built 2009) began to take on sea water though a breach in her hull yesterday.
The general cargo vessel, which trades between ports in India and is now off Mumbai, has a 14 degree list and her crew has been rescued by helicopter, suggesting that there is a risk that the vessel may sink.
