Reports have been received that Maltese flag vessel CN JUMBOS (16418gt, built1995) and Liberian flag vessel ANTON TOPIC collided near Ko Rin Island, off the coast of Phuket last night.
As a result of the collision CN JUMBOS has taken on water and is developed a list. The crew are trying to pump out the water.
ANTON TOPIC has sustained hull damage, but there are currently no reports of water ingress on this vessel.
CN JUMBOS last record port of call was Siam Seaport from where she sailed on 5th March 2014. ANTON TOPIC sailed from Ko Sichang on 30th March 2014.
Authorities advised both vessels to anchor whilst they await an investigation into the collision to take place.
