Reports have been received that Cyprus flag vessel RBD BOREA (7545gt built2007) experienced a fire on board two days ago shortly after departing from Haiphong Port.
The fire started on 17th August after a container carrying phosphorus burst into flames. The fire was extinguished the following day. Remaining containers were brought back to the shore.
The vessel trades between ports in China, Japan and Vietnam. But she is also likely to be carrying cargoes for transhipment to and from other countries.
