Reports have been received that Croatian flag vessel MOLAT (17928gt built2000) encountered adverse weather conditions on her voyage from Norrkoping to Alexandria which caused a cargo shift on board.

As a result of the cargo shift, the bulk carrier developed a five degree list. MOLAT has now arrived at the port of Sunderland where cargo securing operations will take place.

It is possible that General Average will be declared as a result of this incident. If you have insured cargo on board this vessel and require assistance dealing with any demands and claims arising, please contact us as soon as possible.
