Reports have been received that Gibraltar flag vessel ANNA (5044gt built 2011 ) ran aground yesterday off Izmir.
We understand that vessel is en route from Turkey to Sweden, having called earlier at Bandirma. Local authorities are in attendance.
It is possible that a salvage claim will be made against the owners/insurers of the cargo on board this vessel. It is also possible that general average will be declared.
