Reports have been received that Malaysian flag vessel SHINLINE 8 (5436gt built1990) sank yesterday near the Korean Island of Jeju whilst on voyage to Singapore.
There were 19 crew members on board when the vessel started taking on water. The Korean coast guards managed to rescue 15 of the crew. Unfortunately the Coast Guard boat capsized due to high waves on its way to its mother ship.
The cargo on board was steel products and machinery. If you are the insurers of the cargo on board then we look forward to receiving your instructions.
