Reports have been received that Marshall Islands flag vessel MAGNUM POWER (31,261gt built 2008) has run aground off Barranquilla.
The bulker, which sailed from Destrehan on 1st May 2011, is reportedly receiving salvage services on LOF terms from Tsavliris Salvage.
It is likely that a salvage claim will be made against the owners/insurers of the cargo on board this vessel. It is also possible that general average will be declared.
