Reports have been received that U.K. flag vessel CLARE (40524gt built 2005) has sustained a problem with her propeller.
The Bulk Carrier has been towed into port and has docked at pier 1 of Damen Shiprepair in Brest, France. Before France the vessel was in Brazil.
It is possible that a salvage claim will be made against the owners/insurers of the cargo on board this vessel. It is also possible that general average will be declared.
