Reports have been received that Hong Kong flag vessel HEBEI UNIVERSE (94,338gt built 2010) has rung aground outside Zonguldak Eren port.
The bulk carrier has on board 163,097mt coal loaded in Colombia. We understand that divers will be undertaking an underwater inspection.
It is possible that a salvage claim will be made against the owners/insurers of the cargo on board this vessel. It is also possible that general average will be declared.
