Reports have been received that Antigua flag vessel CELINA (6409gt built 2002) has run aground near Nordfjord.
The containership is hard aground and we understand that her hull has been punctured. The vessel is leaking oil.
CELINA usually operates between ports in Norway and Netherlands but may also have transhipment cargoes on board. She sailed from Aalesund on 9th March 2012.
It is possible that a salvage claim will be made against the owners/insurers of the cargo on board this vessel. It is also possible that general average will be declared.
