Reports have been received that Marshall Islands flag vessel VALE BEIJING (200,000gt built 2011) has suffered water ingress at Ponta da Madeira. Salvors have been engaged.
It is possible that a salvage claim will be made against the owners/insurers of the cargo on board this vessel. It is also possible that general average will be declared.
