Reports have been received that Marshall Islands flag vessel CHEM PEGASUS (9544gt built 1985) has been towed to Madeira following main engine failure.
The tanker, which sailed from Houston on 16th January, arrived at the island on 4th February. She has on board 13,239 destined for discharge at Gebze.
It is possible that general average will be declared.
