Reports have been received that Maltese flag vessel TROLLNES (6398gt built 1985) has suffered a steering gear failure today and is currently adrift off Corfu.
Tug assistance is required and it is possible that a salvage claim will be made against the owners/insurers of the cargo on board this vessel. It is also possible that general average will be declared.
The bulk carrier sailed from Venice on 3rd December. We understand that she is destined for Gulluk.
