Reports have been received that Liberian flag vessel VENTO DI ZEFIRO (9957gt built 2008) has been towed into Malta following an engine problem.
The general cargo ship is on a voyage to Libya. She is now in Malta under repair after having been towed into port by tug SPINOLA.
It is possible that a salvage claim will be made against the owners/insurers of the cargo on board this vessel. It is also possible that general average will be declared.
