Reports have been received that Antiguan flag vessel EDGAR LEHMANN (8555gt built 2007) has been towed into Grenaa, Denmark, with engine problems.
The vessel has on board a cargo of wheat loaded in Latvia and destined for Spain. It is anticipated that repairs will take five or six weeks to complete.
It is possible that a salvage claim will be made against the owners/insurers of the cargo on board this vessel. It is also possible that general average will be declared.
