Reports have been received that Liberian flag vessel TAVRICHESKY BRIDGE (27725gt built 2006) is adrift off New York await tug assistance.
The tanker, with a cargo of 36,0000 tonnes of naphtha on board, is understood to have experienced camshaft problems 110 miles off Nantucket.
It is possible that a salvage claim will be made against the owners/insurers of the cargo on board this vessel. It is also possible that general average will be declared.
