Reports have been received that Panama flag vessel LIPARIT (4109gt built 2008) has been towed into Ambarli with engine damage.
The general cargo vessel was last reported calling in the Ivory Coast in early November. She got into difficulties off Hydra Island last week and a salvage tug was sent to assist.
It is likely that a salvage claim will be made against the owners/insurers of the cargo on board this vessel. It is also possible that general average will be declared.
