Reports have been received that the Panamanian flag vessel MSC KALINA (151559 gt, 2009 built) has been involved in a collision with the Hong Kong flag tanker ALJALAA.
The MSC KALINA is reportedly holed on the waterline. The matter is at an early stage, but there are potential claims for General Average arising from this incident. There may also be PA losses to containerised cargo.
Both vessels are now reported to be in port and the process of damage assessment is underway.
