Reports have been received that the Marshall Islands flag vessel YASA AYSEN, 31255 GRT, 2007 built has suffered a grounding after leaving Nonoc Island, Philippines.
Lloyds Open Form salvage contract has been signed with Smit and their local partners. The vessel has damage to the structure and it is likely that part of the cargo will need to be lightened.
There are potential claims for salvage and General Average arising from this incident, as well as PA losses.
If salvage security is required, our personal corporate salvage guarantees are accepted by Lloyds. We can provide salvage security on your behalf (subject to internal procedures) for a bail fee from 0.8% of the guarantee amount.
