Reports have been received that the Cypriot flag vessel OCEAN CROWN, 30057 GRT, 2005 built has run aground in the Magellan Strait off Chile. Lloyds Open Form has been signed. She was on a voyage from Caleta Patache, Chile, to Dabhol India. We believe it is likely to be carrying a cargo of copper concentrate.

There are potential claims for salvage and General Average arising from this incident, as well as PA losses.

If salvage security is required, our personal corporate salvage guarantees are accepted by Lloyds. We can provide salvage security on your behalf (subject to internal procedures) for a bail fee from 0.8% of the guarantee amount.
