Reports have been received that the Argentine flag vessel TRANSMODAL, 3491 GRT, 1991 built has suffered a fire off Argentina and the crew have abandoned the vessel, being rescued by a passing vessel QUINN J. She was abandoned in location lat 26S long 47W.

There are potential claims for salvage and General Average arising from this incident, as well as PA losses.
