Reports have been received that Cypriot flag vessel TINA I (66,332gt, built 2004) ran aground off Batu Island, Batam, Indonesia on 22 November 2020.
Reportedly, the container vessel came in contact with vessel SHAHRAZ (74,175gt, built 2008) which has been aground in the same area since May this year.
We understand that salvage services are being rendered to TINA I by T&T Salvage. No injuries or pollution have been reported.
TINA I is destined for Surabaya and Jakarta. Prior to the accident, the vessel had called at Singapore, Tanjung Pelepas, Lianyungang, Qianwan, Xingang, Dalian, Incheon, Keelung and Hong Kong.
