Reports have been received that Hong Kong flag vessel DELPHIS GDANSK (25,715gt built 2017) and Liberian flag vessel BBC NEPTUNE (24,109gt built 2010) were in collision earlier today in the Great Belt off Denmark.
As a result of the incident, some containers on board DELPHIS GDANSK fell on to the deck of BBC NEPTUNE. A fire has also been reported.
At present both vessels remain in the same position surrounded by tugs and other craft.
DELPHIS GDANSK is on a voyage from Netherlands to Russia but is likely to be carrying cargoes from various origins and for various destinations. The bulker BBC NEPTUNE is on a voyage from Russia to Sweden.
