Reports have been received that Tuvalu flag vessel THERESA ARCTIC (43,414gt, built 1988) is aground off Kilifi, Kenya.
The tanker is on a voyage from Pot Klang to Mombasa carrying a cargo of vegetable oil. She grounded one week ago and salvage services are being provided.
Before the cargo can be delivered, the Salvors will require security for their claim. It is also likely that General Average will be declared.
