Reports have been received that Maltese flag vessel PEBBLE BEACH (24,195gt, built 2013) ran aground on 26th August whilst en route from Rio Grande to Porto Alegre.
Two tugs are one the way to assist the bulk carrier with a re floating operation. It is possible that claims for salvage and/or general average will arise as a result.
