Reports have been received that Chinese flag vessels HE DE (19987gt, built 2009) and GUO DIAN (29137gt, built 1986) collided off Shanghai on 17th June 2014.
Both vessels experienced water ingress and two rescue vessels were sent to the scene to assist. HE DE and GUO DIAN are still currently anchored in the same position off Shanghai.
Both bulk carriers trade between ports in China. HE DE sailed from Dalian 15th June 2014 and GUO DIAN 2 sailed from Tanghsan 13th June 2014.
