Casualty Report Update

AMSTERDAM BRIDGE remains off Mumbai. The fire was been brought under control but salvage services are continuing.

Cargo insurers will be required to provide Salvage Guarantees and General Average guarantees before the cargo is delivered. Some cargo is damaged.

Dolphin Maritime is already assisting the insurers of part of the cargo on board. If you also insured cargo on board we are ready to assist.

Initial Casualty Report

Reports have been received that Antigua and Barbuda flag vessel AMSTERDAM BRIDGE (42112gt built2009) caught fire at Mumbai yesterday.

The fire is understood to be in one of the cargo holds. The vessel has proceeded out to anchorage where several fire fighting vessels are now in attendance.

The vessel trades between ports in China, Malaysia, India and Sri Lanka. But she is also likely to be carrying cargoes to and from ports in other countries.

As well as damage to the cargo it is possible that Salvage and General Average claims may arise as a result of this incident.
