Reports have been received that Bangladesh flag vessel RATAN PATHFINDER (16314gt built 1986) has been towed to an anchorage outside Sitalpur.
The vessel has a problem with her generator. The Shipowners have declared General Average.
The vessel has on board a cargo of 21,060 tonnes of kaolin. Of this 8,780 tonnes are destined for Bangladesh with the remainder for other ports.
Before arriving in Bangladesh the vessel had called at Thailand and Malaysia.
