Reports have been received that Sierra Leone flag vessel KARIM 1 (2265gt) sank yesterday after being in collision in the Black Sea with Dutch flag tanker ALESSANDRO DP (11186gt built 2007).
The general cargo vessel was carrying a cargo of scrap from Varna. Five of her crew of ten are reported as still missing and rescue operations are continuing.
